The Early Sound From Hawaii
Here are some links to
listen and Download some tracks by bands that Frank Orrall, Ted Cho and John Nelson of PDP were involved in Back in Hawaii
before Poi dog pondering.
Hawaii was a special place to come of age as a band because we were secluded by the pacific
ocean, we had to just read magazines like the NME and Melody Maker to get the news on the new bands. Rarely did anyone tour
there so we had to imagine what they were like based on their records - At
the time we felt we were missing out but in reflection I realize that imagination
is a strong force and it made us dream harder - and I am thankful for that now.
