on booking a PDP acoustic living room sets
Playing
music in the livingroom is how we started,
it will never leave
our blood.
Here
are the basics:
there are a few scenarios:
(Frank Orrall will always
be there, and he likes to be joined by at least one other member of Poi).
- So the basic 2 Poi
dog acoustic living room set is $1,000.
- Add $ 500 for each additional band member you'd like.
- and a full band acoustic living room set is 5,000 (this takes extra planning as there are many of us and we
need to check schedules!)
(If you would like Chef Franc to cook
dinner too add $250 + $40 a person).
This is based on a "non sound system" - completely acoustic show.
If you would like a show for a large group of people and would require a sound system, it is manageable, however,
it is a whole 'nuther ball of wax... It means renting a sound system and gets more detailed, and adds additional
costs. If this is the case let us know and we can discuss this further - and iron out the details.
Set time is about an hour - we can play it by ear.
Poi dog pondering loves to travel, so If
you live outside the Chicago area, This is not a problem.
But if so, transportation is a special consideration.
You will need to
take care of train or airfare, and transportation to and from the airport.
However, PDP also loves long distance driving, so it is also possible
to work out a rental van.
But we can discuss that when
the time comes, and we'll find the best solution for everyone.
Frank knows how to sleep on a couch, but he doesn't want to
presume that his band mates will want to, so hotel
accommodations for the other members will have to be covered.
I know this makes it more difficult, (because It's what we have to do for ourselves
on tour too!) -
But just so you know what it
will take to make it happen out of Chi-town. (p.s. - you can kick Frank off the couch!)
It is hard to book more than 3 months ahead as a Poi tour may come up.
So if this is the case for you - let us know and we
can keep talking as it gets close to the date you would like.
One last thing: It is important that this is really a home grown event;
you cannot charge money at the door, or sell tickets in any way.
It
really just has to be a party with friends playing and singing together.
