The Relay/Special Edition: The
Sunday Night Club
RADIO HOUR WITH
DAG JUHLIN
The Sunday Night Club
"Years ago,
Sunday nights meant Monty Python at 10pm, the last bit of something good for the weekend before the cold reality of facing
up to school the next day. If, God forbid, the public TV channel decided to show something else instead of Python, it cast
one final insult on the poor C student who had most certainly not completed whatever assignments were due the next day. Sunday
nights still elicit an air of melancholy, even though school days and botched assignments are a thing of the past (and I've
got all the Python shows in my video iPod, so I'll always have one handy for a Sunday night). But there's a certain
quiet that hangs over a Sunday night which is different from the other nights of the week --- especially if, like me, you're
a night owl still doing a bit of prowling (or thinking, or writing, or reading or strumming) after everyone else has wisely
gone off to bed. Here, then, submitted for your approval, a mixture for those quieter hours
when the world segues
from the end of one week to the beginning of another and you wonder if your homework's all done."
