Located in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, Branch 27 is an American bistro.  Located within an early 1900s brick and terra cotta building that once contained Chicago’s 27th ward Library. 

Head Chef John Manion   is my favorite chef in the world:      

(legendary from the mighty MAS Restaurant & Savannah's to name a few).

He loves food like I love Music. He loves music deeply, and I love good food... we became fast friends. We have nick named him Captain Manion, because he is "The Captain" - we are proud to serve on his ship, and 'the food is always better at the Captain's table'. John is looking deep into the Midwestern bread basket here and making soul food from the region: Regional Bistro fare with passion. Personally; I trust this man with my life, he's a blood brother. As a chef Captain, I'm just one of his many dedicated shipmates, ready to go on every adventure. We know we're in the very best of hands.
